GOOGLE MAPS STREET VIEW - EXPLORE THE LIWA DESERTS
Google are experts at mapping the world, having already taken Street View cameras to some of the tallest mountains and into the deep ocean. Now, they're photographing The Liwa Desert using one of the oldest forms of transport - camels. The animals, which carry The Treckker pack, are being used so that Google impact the surrounding environment as little as possible. Google has previously used this device to document hard to reach places such as the Grand Canyon, the wilderness of Canada, and Japan's deserted "Battleship Island", although they're normally carried by humans.
