"Teardrop" Key Fobs

This s/s 16 has been pretty much the rebirth of relaunching Bricks & Wood. Since then so much has been learned about product, consumers, & overall business & within doing so, we found even more passion to one day have our own flagship. Within gaining new knowledge on product we came to realize you start by utilizing your resources. Whether it's people you know, people who know other people, a place you know about, a place you know someone else uses, literally anything you can use that can help you produce your product just how you see it in your mind if you can't do it yourself.

Metal mag plate being perfectly aligned above the middle of the key fob for perfected logo placement. As you can see the temperature of the plate is really hot to give that permanent life long stamp.

One of those valuable & immediate resources used was company Tanner Goods. Tanner Goods & The Woodlands is under an umbrella of a company titled Cascadian Fabrications Inc. Cascadian Fabrications Inc also known as CFI is the production side of the company. Tanner is the leather product, Woodlands is the apparel & boutique side that carries 3rd party brands & those two are under one roof being CFI. Within CFI they have a side of the company that does special projects for outside companies within using their own leather to produce for other brands. Those items consist of, leather patches, leather, wallets, belts, key chains, coaster, valet trays, etc. Not everything of course due to the fact that still need to keep things "Tanner" but still a wide enough collection for any outside brand to get creative with.

Hank from the CFI workshop here clearly not following the proper protocol as labeled on the plate holder but being very risky & careful at the same time to make sure these come out as perfect as possible. That outstanding quality presented by Cascadian Fabrications Inc.

With using CFI as a home base & resource for new product the first objective on our list was our very own leather key fobs. These leather key fobs are each use constructed from 3/4oz. weights using Natural English Bridle leather, each is assembled & double sided hand stamped with the signature Bricks & Wood symbol logo using brass hardware. Do to having some awesome people working at the CFI HQ, we were able to get good friend Aaron (who does all the photography for Tanner Goods) to capture some a few shots of the behind the scenes process of how each fob excluding my own is made in the workshop. Take a look below at the process.

Before anything can be processed, stamped, & sold a custom metal plate must be created with the desired design to heat press onto the key fobs.

Like state in the beginning, we all have to start somewhere - & that somewhere starts with using our own resources within things & people we know. So for anyone that is looking for that source of resource, here's ours to you. Start your process with Cascadian Fabrications HERE.
