Akila x Bricks & Wood “Halldale” Sunglasses - Black

We have teamed up with LA-based eyewear company Akila to bring to life a sunglass silhouette that we have been working on offering for over 3 years. We first found a similar vintage style frame in a small eyewear boutique in DTLA where we purchased & held onto that frame since the day of transaction. We were so confident in the style as our intro to our very own eyewear accessory that we even tried to scrape the original logo off the frames to somehow replace with our own but clearly those attempts were unsuccessful. You will noticed that on the right inner temple of these frames that there's a quote that reads "THIS BRICKS DOESN'T COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS" which is a quote tweeted by Benny The Butcher as a way to recap the improvised process of how these sunnies were brought to life. We didn't have an infrastructure so we recreated our own. The beauty of finding inspiration from vintage sources.

Thankfully we were aligned with Akila through a mutual peer & the rest was history. We have teamed up with the Akila family to create Halldale, a vintage-inspired frame named after a street in South Central LA which is the first unofficial Bricks & Wood HQ out of Granny's house. Each pair is made in very limited quantities.

We pride ourselves on collectibles & producing goods that we call specialty pieces aka rarewear. The Halldale lands directly in that category. When these colors options are no longer available there is no intentions of a restock once they are sold out.
